Hi, we are Alex and Catalina, founders of Bunnies and Turtles.

Bunnies and Turtles is our high school action with passion project turned community initiative, created with the full support of Duageeso LLC.

Our passion and mission through Bunnies and Turtles is to share what we’ve learned and to reach the hearts, minds, and souls of all the little bunnies and turtles in our community — especially those who haven’t yet had the chance to experience the joy of learning through mentorship and intentional play.

We’re currently raising funds to launch our programs. The first is our signature program, “Play and Learn Pods,” a small-group experience led by trained teen mentors, where young children build early literacy, emotional awareness, and social skills through play-based learning and exploration, always supervised by a certified teacher or adult facilitator.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward essential needs such as:

• Supplies for creative, hands-on learning

• Space and venue fees for safe, welcoming environments

• Program costs that keep our sessions accessible to all families

• Leadership and Service Scholarship for outstanding Mentors

One of our favorite stories growing up was “The Tortoise and the Hare.” We loved that story, maybe because we could relate to it so much. One of us was definitely the tortoise, quiet, observant, and slow to start and the other was a hare, quick to jump in, run a mile in a minute and then feel like when there was nothing in the tank, having to sit and rest until recharged. Honestly we used to wish we could be more like the other, however, as time went on, we realized something very important; everyone crosses the finish line. Some of us hop, some of us crawl, but we all get there together.
