Play & Learn Pods
Small Groups.
Growing Minds.
Teen Mentors.

Designed for young learners in Pre-K through 1st grade, our Play and Learn Pods bring together small groups of 4–6 children for 80 minutes of playful, purposeful discovery.

Each Pod is led by our trained High School Mentors and Junior Mentors—passionate bibliophiles and leaders who bring energy, empathy, and enthusiasm to every session. To ensure a safe and supportive environment, all groups are always supervised by a professional teacher and adult.

Little learners improve social development, confidence and leadership and reading readiness by playing board games, card games, group games and plenty of cozy reading time.

Each pod runs for 5 consecutive sessions, and families commit to attending all five to build consistency and community.
Pods are grouped by grade (Pre-K, K and 1st) with an equal mix of boys and girls.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward essential needs such as:
-
Supplies for creative, hands-on learning
-
Space and venue fees for safe, welcoming environments
-
Program costs that keep our sessions accessible to all families
These funds make it possible for us to host low-cost (and sometimes free) programs that strengthen families, spark creativity, and build confidence in the kids who need it most.
One of my favorite stories growing up was “The Tortoise and the Hare.”
I loved that story because I related to it so much. I was definitely the tortoise in my classes: quiet, observant, and slow to start… and I still am. I used to wish I could be more like the hare—fast, confident, and always ahead. But as time went on, I realized something important: everyone crosses the finish line.
Some of us hop, some of us crawl, but we all get there together.
